Weddings, homecomings and comedy gingers

Caught another Channel 4 episode – yay!

Wedding bells?

When did John Paul and ex-Father Kieron decide to get married? Eh!? Having said that, John Paul doesn’t seem completely convinced they have made the right decision so we won’t be buying a hat just yet…

Dead man’s shoes

Now it’s not like we expect Steph to end her days as a spinster cat lady, but is it not a little bit too soon for her to be having romantic little interludes with Niall, even if it is to say she isn’t ready for a boyf yet? Good god woman, Max is probably still warm!

Toe of frog, eye of Newt

Newt’s return to The Dog was a tricky one. One minute talking ominously about his anti-Eli pills, the next erupting into paranoid rage, the poor little thing was finally coaxed home by Frankie with the promise of love, understanding and lots of cake (at least she delivered on the latter). Ahh! Can’t help thinking, though, that a happy ending might not be that easy? Let’s hope he keeps taking those pills…

Bobby Dazzler

After only being hinted at last night, the Darren we know and love returned proper tonight. Yay! The gloriously pimpish vest and flowery shirt combo was back and when he wasn’t lusting after Cindy he was trying to talk Frankie out of bringing Newt home in the most unPC way possible (see quotes below), even resorting to leaving ’schizophrenics might kill you in your sleep’ pamphlets around The Dog.  Smooth!

The joy of text

A cautionary tale for us all – Mercedes went on a date through a text dating service only to be confronted with a comedy ginger nerd. Why wasn’t there a helpline at the end of the episode incase any of us have endured similar horrors? Still, a pragmatic girl, Mercy escaped by giving blood and even ended up pulling Malachy in the end bit. Every cloud eh?

Film student moment

Speeded-up Niall and John Paul to Broken Boy Soldiers by The Raconteurs

Quotes

“I’m not going to pass up the chance to get some decent scran down you” – Myra, handing John Paul a dirty fry up. Mmm!

Newt’s a loon, is going to ruin everything…too blunt” – you reckon, Darren?!

“Anger can set in you know” - Niall on what happens when you grow up…We think he may be confusing ‘anger’ with ‘psychosis’…

    1. well done to cindy for confronting steph about cavorting with niall – she is acting like a slapper – although the food fight was a bit silly

    2. i’m worried about what niall is gonna do

    3. i’m starting to seriously dislike john-paul and i think kieron could do way better

    4. i don’t get how mercy ended up on a date with that ginger guy – wasn’t the idea that they exchanged pics via text first?

    5. a good robyn moment with ‘who’s that girl’
