The ‘Oaks’ original pramface schoolgirl, Cindy gave birth to daughter Holly in the back of her dad Mr C’s shop and later fled to Spain after accidentally mowing down hapless student Anna with a car (a matter that appears to have been forgotten by Chester´s law enforcement).

Now back in the village with Holly in tow, sexpot Cindy is always on the look out for a fast buck and a fast fu- er, lovemaking session – which is where Darren comes in. So to speak.

Married to Tony! Who would’ve thunk it eh? What started as a scam to marry him and con him out of his millions, Cindy surprised us, and co-conspirator Darren, by deciding she was marrying the furrowed brow one for lurve. Awww. That was until the Hollyoaks Later twist revealed that she is still the money grabbing harlot we know and love, hurrah! Currently playing the good wife, though the flashforward suggested that something horrid might happen to Holly in 2010. Uh oh.

Okay, so, try to keep up: nothing that horrid happened to Holly – she just hid in a wardrobe for a week (yes, really) and then comatosed herself by running into a wall (yes, even more really). Cindy and Tony then split up when Tony met incomprehensible scouser Gabby Sharpe. Never one to be without some gold to dig for long, Cindy then hooked up with dapper pensioner Alistair Longford (grandad of Texas and India) but was sadly left widowed when Alistair fell of an alp and left her his millions. How inconsiderate of him. Returning to the village, Cindy bought herself a spa and proceeded to lord it over the resident povs. A legend.
