Frankie

Brassy Frankie has permanent empty-nest syndrome, coping with the loss of various children to cruise ships, gaying it up in Dublin and an asylum by taking in various waifs and strays – be it emo Newt or not-actually-blood-related Charlie. Never one to turn the other cheek, she has ongoing feuds with Nancy and Lady Macbeth Louise. Will she ever prove mad son Jake’s innocence?

After beginning 2009 residing in Nev’s council estate slum with Newt and Charlie, Frankie is now ensconced in the Ashworth’s old house and her nest is fuller than ever – Jack is a free man, with Newt, Steph, Tom, an apparently now not mad Jake and occasionally Loretta all living there too, minus Charlie. Frankie has responded to this by getting increasingly brassier, her breasts now a significant (and disturbing) feature of life in the village.
