Jack
As landlord of the Dog in the Pond, ex-copper Jack certainly has seen his fair share of drama. Whether it’s his slightly dodge past (getting an underage Dawn Cunningham pregnant), his penchant for marrying his blonde barmaids and taking in their troublesome brood (the latest being Frankie and the Deans) or the latest explosion/armed seige/grafitti attack at the Dog. Which brings us onto Darren. Ever forgiving towards his ratboy son, Jack has endured the loss of his pub thanks to Darren’s gambling addiction. With debts mounting and Frankie spending any remaining cash on shoes for baby Charlie, Jack’s only way out was to fake his own death. At least his plan didn’t involve a canoe…

After months of living in the loft, Jack came out of hiding in order to save the McQueens in the battle of st eustace and promptly got banged up for his troubles. Boo.

Released back into the wild in early 2009, Jack spent most of the year being a grumpy old git and disowning Darren. After forging a career as a lollypop man and protector of mentally unstable emos, he now lives rather happily with Frankie and her brood. If only he could forgive his son and reclaim the Dog…
